Theme: "The Austin Experience"

This Standard Flower Show — with 37 judged designs and a collection of horticulture — will be held in the Garden Center Auditorium.  Exhibits and horticulture are judged by Nationally Accredited Flower Show Judges. All Garden Council members and other interested gardeners are encouraged to enter the show. Due to limited space, reservations must be made with the Flower Show Chairman, Sandra Holt. (See schedule in the Gift Shop).

Division I -  Design
Designers interpret the “Austin Experience” in their designs.

Section A - Sounds of Austin
Class 1 - "The Music Capital"
Class 2 - "The Changing Skyline"
Class 3 - "Tail-Gating Party"

Section B - Sights of Austin
Class 4 - "Barton Springs"
Class 5 - "Umlauf Gardens"
Class 6 - "Laguna Gloria"

Section C - Thrills of Austin
Class 7 - "The Bat Flight"
Class 8 - "The Koi Pond"
Class 9 - "Hike and Bike Trails"

Section D - Spirit of Austin
Novice Arrangers only - those who have not won a blue ribbon
Class 10 - "The Farmer's Market"

Division II - Horticulture "Growing Green"
Reservations must be made for large plants.

Special Exhibits

1.  Heart O' Texas Orchid Society at entry to Flower Show
Large display of orchids

2.  Austin Cactus & Succulent Society in Greene Room
Display of plants with spines that store water in their stems and/or leaves.

3.  Austin Bonsai Society in Greene Room 
Display and a demonstration of the art of creating these beautiful trees.
