Chrysalis, the gift shop run by the Austin Area Garden Council, brims with an ever-changing variety of garden-themed items, some crafted by local artisans. There are toys and books for children, jewelry, stationery, decorative objects for the home and garden, books and tools for the gardener, seeds, and T-shirts and hats for the whole family.

How long have you been practicing your art?
Specifically jewelry design, about 13 years.I have also dabbled in Art - drawing and painting.My entire family has some kind of art background from floral design to music.

How would you describe your art?
I use vintage pieces and anything different to put together a unique piece.All my pieces are one of kind and I usually do not make anything twice.I have a keen eye for color and I do not believe in symmetry.

Any particular inspirations?
Nature, dreams, colors of fabric and food.

Have you had any training or are you just naturally this good at your craft?
Since I have been taking art classes since a child and have been surrounded by art all my life, the color and design come naturally. I did take a couple of classes and then from there learned on my own!
