Austin Cactus & Succulent Society March Meeting

March 19 @ 7:00 pm 9:00 pm

The Good, The Bad and the Endemic Plants of The Big Bend

This month’s presentation centers around the expansive Big Bend region of Texas and the native cacti and succulents that call it home. With pictures and information on over fifty species, this talk is a great introduction into what the region has to offer. Beautiful landscape pictures show the vast expanse of this area and the landscape in which each species calls home.

Speaker Bio: Our March presenter, David Feller, has decades of experience with growing a large variety of plants. His focus is centered around cacti and succulents in their native habitat and around the world. He has traveled to five continents viewing and exploring plants and their role in everyday life. He is the owner of A Bug’s Home Nursery in San Antonio, TX which offers a large variety of plants that interest him. His knowledge and love of plants is shared through his many activities with plant clubs and his current role as president of the San Antonio Cactus and Xerophyte Society.
