DESCRIPTION:Join us for a cocktail hour featuring Desert Door Sotol and a tour of the Cactus and Succulent Collection! \n\n\n\nEnjoy cocktails crafted from plants found right here in the Garden while learning about the distillation process and the rich history of sotol. Desert Door’s resident mixologist\, Sam\, will lead a featured cocktail presentation and live demonstration for guests. \n\n\n\nFollowing the presentations\, sip your drink while taking a guided tour of our Cactus and Succulent Collection with Conservancy Curator Jeff Pavlat. \n\n\n\nA guided tour\, cocktails\, and special Desert Door takeaways—including collectible copitas and branded bandanas—are included in the ticket price. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRegister Here!\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Desert Door Sotol\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSotol is both the name of the distilled spirit and the plant that it’s made from – a resilient evergreen succulent that thrives in the rugged West Texas desert. With a rich 10\,000-year history\, Desert Door is bringing back this unique spirit while continuing to honor the deep-rooted traditions of sustainable foraging. \n\n\n\nWild-harvested\, distilled & bottled right here in Texas resulting in a spirit that’s more flavorful than tequila and softer than mezcal. A true ranch-to-glass spirit that tastes unquestionably of the land with no added sugars\, artificial flavors or colors.
