Herb Society Volunteer Workday

Join the Austin Herb Society in maintaining the Herb Garden. If you are an Austin Herb Society member interested in leading workdays, coordinate your attendance with Bonnie or AHS Vice President of Horticulture, in addition to registering here in GivePulse. All volunteers must be 18+. 

This event could involve:

• Removing soil from a garden bed to prep the bed for replanting
• Planting 
• Removing brush
• Mulching
• Weeding
• Pruning 

Please arrive prepared to work outdoors with closed-toed shoes and a full water bottle. We recommend you bring a sun hat, work gloves, and bug spray. 

The garden gate opens at 9 am. When you arrive at the garden, show your GivePulse confirmation email to the gate staff at check-in to receive free admission for the day. If you do not have a smart phone please bring a printed copy of your confirmation email, or you can sign a physical waiver at the gate when you arrive. 

Once you’ve checked in, please park in our volunteer parking lot, which is down a dirt road from our regular parking lot, then walk to the Herb Garden and your group leader will direct you from there. Thank you for your support of the garden!
