HOTOS May Meeting: Growing for Greenhouse Newbies

Have you wanted to get started with a greenhouse and weren’t sure of the first steps? Have you just built a greenhouse and want tips on orchid culture? Do you need help getting your growing space in tip-top shape? Then join us this month and all your questions will be answered by Blake Kruse of Timbucktoo Orchids. Blake will have orchids available for sale. Plant sales begin at 6 pm.
Speaker Bio: Blake Kruse is a horticulturist and orchid enthusiast who has grown plants (orchids and beyond) at the hobby, commercial, and institutional levels. He is an accredited American Orchid Society judge and grows plants both indoors, in the greenhouse, and under shaded patios. He is employed as a horticulturist at Botanica, the Wichita Gardens; as well as a partner in Timbucktoo Orchids, raising the weird and wonderful species and doing breeding work in the Maxillaria, Lycaste, and Bulbophyllum groups.
