Iris Society of Austin Annual Rhizome Sale
September 6, 2025 @ 9:30 am – 2:30 pm
The Iris Society of Austin hosts their annual rhizome sale Saturday, September 6, 2025. Admission is free for conservancy members, admission will be charged for all other attendees.
Prices will range from $ 2 to $10. Rhizomes will be loose and potted. Potted irises will sell for $10 per pot.
Be sure to come early for the best selection. We accept cash, checks and credit cards.
Tall bearded irises will be available. Tall bearded irises are drought tolerant and thrive in the heat of Central Texas. They don’t require a lot of water and they love the sun. They are a low maintenance plant for Central Texas Gardens. If you visited Zilker in the spring and saw the irises blooming in the rose garden, many of those will be available for sale.
We will also have a few Louisiana irises. Not all Louisianas require a lot of water. Many grow well here in Texas.
