Japanese Flower Arranging with Multiple Containers
August 1, 2025 @ 9:30 am – 12:00 pm
Old and new Ikebana friends, Austin Ikebana Group is inviting you to join our August 1st event. May Feng will be demonstrating arrangements using multiple containers. In Ikebana, using two containers allows for the creative exploration of spatial relationships and contrasting elements within an arrangement. This technique can highlight the unique characteristics of each container and the flowers within them.
This event is free and open to the public (adults only) to attend as guest observers (no flower materials provided). With limited seats in the Auditorium, pre-registration is required by July 29th. Please email austinikebanagroup@gmail.com to RSVP.

Speaker Bio: May Feng has been a member of our Ikebana group for over 20 years, including six years as its president.
Starting her Ikebana journey in college, May furthered her love of Ikebana through a decade of study under Ichiyo school master Don Olson, earning her instructor certificate. Since then, she has passionately shared her knowledge, conducting demonstrations for prestigious companies like 3M and Intel, as well as at many other events. Driven by a desire for continuous learning, May is also currently studying the Ikenobo school under Master Vivian Miller.
