SUMMARY:Texas Star Mushroom Walk & Tarot Reading
DESCRIPTION:SOLD OUT \n\n\n\nThe stars are out in Texas – not the stars deep in the heart of Texas that shower the sky\, but these stars found on the forest floor are our new official state mushroom.  \n\n\n\nThe Texas Star Mushroom\, Chorioactis geaster is unique to our state and is only found in one other geographic location – Japan. Scientists are perplexed as to why it is so geographically distributed. You may recognize the mushroom because it is part of our logo. \n\n\n\nJoin the Central Texas Mycological Society for a walk to hopefully see the state mushroom and learn the ecology of this fascinating fruiting body. If we get rain before the event\, we may also not only observe this rare mushroom but hopefully identify many others. \n\n\n\nJoe Buckley\, the creator of the amazing Mushroom Hunters Tarot Deck which includes our state mushroom\, will be joining us from the Pacific NW as he makes this the first stop of his journey to see all 78 species that he’s featured in his deck. You can pre-order the decks here and pick them up at the event. \n\n\n\nPlease register below so that we can plan for your attendance!
