A Conversation on the Zilker Botanical Garden Master Plan
Austin Women’s Federated Club Meeting
September 10, 2021 @ 11:00 am – 1:00 pm
It is our pleasure as Garden G.A.N.G. to invite you to attend our first in-person Garden G.A.N.G./ AWFC meeting this Friday, September 11. We will gather at the Texas Federated Women’s Club building at 2312 San Gabriel St., share a light luncheon together, and have Stephanie speak “A Conversation about the ZBGC”
The Zilker Botanical Garden Conservancy has a unique opportunity to change the Austin landscape. Together with the community’s support, we can create a botanical garden that fits perfectly with the Austin culture and is known and recognized across the country. During the luncheon, this Friday at the Mansion, Stephanie Hunter, ZBGC’s Director of Development will share how you can help build a legacy and grow this jewel in the heart of Austin.
Contact Lynn Cooksey at lcooksey@austin.rr.com to attend. The cost is $15 to cover the luncheon. Parking is nearby, instructions to follow your rsvp.
About our guest speaker:
Joining the Conservancy in March 2020, Stephanie has endured some challenges – primarily a worldwide pandemic. She brings more than 20 years of non-profit development experience to the Conservancy, and although she is not a gardener, she loves nature and the outdoors. When not at work, she is outside riding her bike or hiking with her husband and two dogs. She thoroughly enjoys working for such a unique jewel in the Austin community and knows that Gardens have never been as important as they are today. In our stressful world, the Garden has become a sanctuary, a place to be in touch with the seasons and elements, a resource to refresh the mind and body. Her strong commitment to Zilker Botanical Garden is anchored in keeping the history of the Garden alive while planning for its exciting future.
