The garden is typically open to the public 7 days a week year-round. We are closed for major holidays and Austin City Limits Fest.

In accordance with the latest Mayoral directive, attendance at the Zilker Botanical Garden is temporarily closed.
These changes will remain in effect until direction from the Austin Public Health Authority deems it appropriate to return to normal operations.
The Garden has also canceled the free days initially scheduled for March 17th and 28th. The free days will be rescheduled when health restrictions have been lifted. For the latest information on health directives, please go to www.austintexas.gov/COVID19<http://www.austintexas.gov/COVID19> .

Free Days at the Zilker Botanical Garden
Austin’s Parks and Recreation Department in conjunction with the Zilker Botanical Garden Conservancy is holding the following free days in 2020.
On Free Days, no admission price is required, but donations are always welcome.
- Monday, Feb. 17th Presidents’ Day (school holiday)
- POSTPONED Tuesday, March 17th (during Spring Break)

- Saturday, May 30th (Woodland Faerie Trail Special Exhibit)
- Saturday, August 8th
- Thursdays, June 11, July 9, and Aug 13 (extended hour Thursdays during the Woodland Faerie Trail Special Exhibit)
