Free Days at the Zilker Botanical Garden

Free Days for 2024: January 15, February 19, March 12, April 28, July 14, September 7, November 11, December 26

On Free Days, no admission price is required, but donations are always welcome. You can reserve admission for free days via the General Admission button above.

The Garden is a sanctuary, a place to be in touch with the seasons and refresh our spirits. That is why the City of Austin in conjunction with the Parks and Recreation Department offers “free days” to  Zilker Botanical Garden, thus waiving visitor fees.

Please enjoy your visit! At the admission kiosk, staff will scan your ticket from your phone or printed receipt to allow entrance to the garden. If there are multiple people in your party, ensure they have their tickets prior to arrival. Be sure your entire party checks in together during the time frame purchased. Re-entry is not currently permitted.
