Austin Area Garden Center 60th Anniversary Open House

On this date in 1964, the Austin Area Garden Center was dedicated as a gathering place for community garden clubs, and a place where gardeners or those who want to be gardeners could learn.
Join the Austin Area Garden Council for the 60th anniversary as we re-dedicate ourselves to “Growing Zilker Botanical Garden.” Attend a brief program at 10:30 am to hear from those who helped make the Garden Center part of Zilker Botanical Gardens. Mingle with garden club members and learn about what their clubs have. Enjoy the camaraderie of Austin’s garden community.
