About the Presenter

I love growing flowers. I’ve been growing plants in the ground for 15 years, but I found my passion for gardening when I started growing cut flowers in 2017. I started with tender bulbs in one bed and now have 10 beds, a greenhouse, and a hoop house. I grow, cut, and arrange fresh flowers for sale, and I dry flowers to make wreaths and dried bouquets. I’m a Texas native and my husband and I have lived in east Austin for 14 years and love it. We have one 6-year-old son, a dog, and a cat named Aster. I love gardening because it allows me to listen to my intuition and teaches me patience and resilience. It is a creative space where I can work, heal, and find joy
