Join Us for Dog Days of Summer at Zilker Botanical Garden! 

Get ready for a tail-wagging good time at Zilker Botanical Garden Conservancy’s Dog Days of Summer event on August 24th from 9 AM to 12 PM! Bring your furry friends and family for a morning filled with fun for every pup! 

What to Expect:

Doggie adoptions from Austin Humane Society, pet portraits with ZilkerBark, snow cones & treats, Bark Ranger Certifications, training Q&A with local experts, and more!

Included with admission, free for members. Free for pups! 

We’re excited to welcome the talented Austin Dog Photographer, Zilker Bark, who will be onsite taking pet portraits! Must reserve online in advance, limited space available. Details below.

ZilkerBark Pet Portraits:

Every dog has their day, and a photo session with ZilkerBark is exactly that! Established in 2015, ZilkerBark has been providing the Austin community with memories of their best friends that will last forever, while also giving back. In this time, ZilkerBark has raised more than $300,000 for local animal non-profits, while photographing over 40,000 dogs. They offer private photo sessions throughout the year as well as specialty mini-sessions—like bluebonnets and holiday portraits—in the spring and fall. Dog Days Themed CharKIDerie

This summer, we are excited to host a series of kid-friendly culinary classes called CharKIDerie! Each registration is for one child (16 and under) – parents are welcome to stay and participate. In this final session, we will tour Dog Days Festivities and then create a pup-themed charcuterie board. You will get to enjoy a Cool Collie Cucumber water and create sliced fruits to mimic frisbees and Salami chopped into doggy treat sizes. Enjoy bark-aged cheddar, pup-per jack, and howlin Gouda cheeses. You will finish off your charcuterie board with a beetroot tartare seasoned with herbs and capers served with veggies and crackers.

Please note, that while we love to celebrate our furry friends, this class is human-only. Registration will close at 4pm on Thursday before the class.
