Join us for the February Austin Herb Society meeting! Just in time for Valentine’s Day, we explore our most neglected sense. Learn about cutting-edge research into how smells influence our moods, memory, and behavior. This is a multimedia presentation featuring Smell O Vision to help participants learn more about what their nose knows.
Dr. Molly Ogorzaly has a BS in Agriculture, a Masters in Botany, and a PhD. in Science Education. She co-authored and illustrated all four editions of a college textbook on Economic Botany. As the former Director of Education at Zilker Botanical Garden, she presented programs for garden clubs many times and continues to do so. This particular lecture was done for the National Herb Society, as a keynote at Roundtop, at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, the Thinkery, and many area garden clubs. This will be the first time since Covid that she’s been able to do this talk since there is so much scratching and sniffing involved.
