The Garden Club of Austin is pleased to welcome Doug Green as our featured speaker on May 23rd. Doug will focus on plants and trees that work year after year in Austin, sharing tips and techniques he has developed over his many years of gardening here. His at-home garden contains a variety of fountains and ponds and his latest passion is his butterfly garden visited by many pollinators.
Doug was recently featured on the PBS Central Texas Gardener program. His father, Paul Green, was a founding member of our club and an inspiration to many club members. Laura Joseph attributes her love of caladiums directly to Paul Green and his unforgettable caladium garden tours every summer.
