The Nature and Spirit of Japanese Gardens

Join us for the Tejas Garden Stars September meeting! Dr. Molly Ogorzaly will compare Japanese & Western gardening traditions with photos taken from her travels to Japan. Japanese gardens are stunning and unique, and we can incorporate many of their design principles when we’re planning our own gardens.

Molly has a Bachelor’s in Agriculture from Cornell, a Master’s in Botany, and a PhD in Science Education from UT. Molly is a former Education Director for Zilker Botanical Garden and started the Docent program. She was a guest of Austin’s Sister City Oita, Japan, for a garden internship and worked with Tsunegi-san on the Taniguchi garden.
