Join us for the Austin Organic Gardener’s monthly meeting! Gregory Joel, Farm Manager from Opal’s Farm in Fort Worth, will discuss the history of the 5-acre urban farm named after legendary community activist Opal Lee and how regenerative agriculture practices are used there.
About the Presenter
Greg participated in the construction of a community garden for Samaritan House, a Tarrant County non-profit serving the HIV/Aids homeless community; where he started a back-to-work program called ‘HopeWorks’ and had a second career in landscaping and gardening. He joined Unity Unlimited, Inc. – a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization – in October of 2018 as Farm Manager for Opal’s Farm.
