Void where prohibited. Binding Agreement By submitting an entry, you agree to these official Terms & Conditions. You must comply with all rules and judge decisions. Entry is only valid if these terms are accepted. Eligibility • Applicants under 18 must have a legal guardian submit this form • Applicants must sign up on the official submission page at zilkergarden.org • Applicants must be a resident of Austin, TX, and provide a valid Austin address and email. • The competition is exclusive to residents of Austin, Texas, and entries from outside Austin, Texas will be disqualified. Competition Timeline • Submission Period: February 1, 2025, 8:00 AM CET to March 1, 2025, 5:00 PM CET. • Judging: March 3, 2025, at 8:00 AM by experts in paleontology and botany. How to Apply Submit your entry using the official online form. Incomplete or incorrect applications will be disqualified. Submission Requirements • Original Artwork: All submitted artwork must be original and created solely by the entrant. Entries must not include any elements generated or created using artificial intelligence tools or software. By entering the contest, you affirm that your submission is your own original work and does not infringe on the intellectual property rights of any third party. Entries found to violate this rule will be disqualified. • Eligibility: Artists must be at least 18 years old or have a legal representative if under 18. • Content Restrictions: Artwork must not be offensive, discriminatory, or illegal. It must be original, unpublished, and free of third-party content (including advertising or trademarks). • Intellectual Property: Submissions must not infringe on any third-party rights, and the artist must not be involved in any legal disputes over the artwork. • Entry Limit: Only one entry per participant is allowed. Repeat submissions or artists with multiple entries will be disqualified. • Submit by: All submissions must be digital and uploaded via [link on website/email] by March 1, 2025, 5:00 PM CET. • Acceptable Formats: Submissions must be in [JPEG, PNG, PDF, etc.]. • Participant Information: Submissions must include the participant’s name, age, and contact information for their legal guardian (if applicable). • Rights: By entering, artists grant the organizer the right to use their work for promotional purposes without further compensation. Rights and Warranties By submitting, you confirm your work is original and does not infringe on third-party rights. Zilker Botanical Garden has the right to use your submission for marketing purposes, including in promotional materials. Judging • A panel of experts will review submissions and select winners based on historical and horticultural accuracy. • Winners will be notified via email on March 4, 2025. Prizes • Youth Category (Under 18): $25 gift card to Jerry’s Artarama. • Adult Category (18 and over): $50 gift card to Jerry’s Artarama and a 12oz bag of Jerry’s Bohemian Blend Coffee. • Best in Show (All Ages): Free 1-year membership to Zilker Botanical Garden, and a limited-edition postcard featuring the winning artwork. Prizes are non-transferable, and winners are responsible for any applicable taxes. Indemnification Applicants agree to hold Zilker Botanical Garden harmless from any claims arising from their participation or the content of their submissions. Elimination False or misleading information, non-compliance with terms, or fraudulent behavior will result in disqualification. Changes to the Competition Zilker Botanical Garden reserves the right to cancel or modify the competition if technical issues or fraud affect its integrity.
