Fermentation Class & Tasting

The incredible power of fermentation is all around us- cheese, yogurt, bread, beer, wine, sauerkraut, kimchi, etc. The magic of fermentation has nourished human civilization since ancient times! Fermented foods add essential nutrition and complex flavor to our diets and benefit our gut microflora and immune response. Join AOG members David Forrest and Johnny Hilbun for a class and tasting on fermentation- specifically simple and satisfying vegetable ferments and incredible old-style sourdough bread, both the how and the why.
This workshop will take place in the Oak Grove.
Donations accepted for supplies. Register via the link below and purchase General Admission tickets to ZBG. This is free for Conservancy members. Garden admission can be purchased online in advance or onsite upon arrival.
