Join for the Austin Organic Gardener’s monthly meeting! The class will focus on TreeFolks’ “Seed to Tree Pipeline” project and talk about how they are working with the community to collect native, woody seeds and then growing trees in their new nursery

About the Presenter

Vít Kašpar is a native plant grower, horticulturist, and educator who has been actively growing trees and crops for over 15 years now. His main two areas of focus are the propagation of native woody plants of South and Central Texas as well as small-scale intensive successive organic planting and fruit trees.

In his current role as Seed Collection and Nursery Manager at TreeFolks, Vít is working alongside volunteers and partners on establishing a “Seed to Tree Pipeline” consisting of a seed collection program and a native tree nursery that will provide saplings for the organization’s reforestation programs in Austin and the surrounding counties.”
