Unnatural Texas? The Invasive Species Dilemma

The Garden Club of Austin is excited to announce its first meeting of 2022 on Thursday, February 24th, at the Zilker Botanical Garden Auditorium.  The meeting begins at 7:00 pm with munchies and our program begins at 7:30. 

The guest speaker will be Dr. Robin W. Doughty, a retired UT professor of Geology, and author of eight books on Texas wildlife, including his most recent one…Unnatural Texas?: The Invasive Species Dilemma.  The botanist and co-author of this book, Dr. Matt Turner, will also be attending.  Their presentation will focus on the problems caused by several invasive species in Texas. 

Please join us for this special evening and bring your gardening friends.  Masks are required and social distancing should be observed unless you know and trust your neighbor to be vaccinated.
