Talks and Walks in the Garden (TWiG): Enjoying Edible and Fragrant Flowers

We’ll discuss some unusual ways to enjoy flowers, particularly flowering herbs. Cuisines around the world regularly use flowers; learn which ones grow locally that you can add to your dishes for a fun or elegant look. Flowers also have a special place in traditional herb wisdom for health. We’ll try food with edible flowers and drink floral herb tea. If weather permits, we will visit the herb garden to walk around and identify and sample some flowers. We’ll also enjoy their fragrance including the special perfume bed in the herb garden.
