Understanding & Building Living Soil

Join Soil Health Practitioner and Soil Food Web certified biologist Andie Marsh to learn about living soil. We will cover the following high-level principles of bio-complete and fungal-rich compost.
> What are fungi: bacteria ratio and why does it matter to plant health?
> Why are soils often deficient in fungi?
> Why are many composts/amendments bacteria dominant?
> How can we improve the fungal biomass of composts/amendments we make for our gardens?

About the Presenter

Andie Marsh is the founder of Rhizos LLC, a soil biology lab. She evaluates soils, substrates, and amendments with a microscope and provides detailed write-ups so growers and land managers can STOP managing symptoms, and START addressing causes. Andie received her B.S. in Bioenvironmental Science from Texas A&M University in 2013 and is a Soil Food Web Certified microbiologist through Dr. Elaine Ingham’s renowned program.

Doors at 6, talk at 7. Free, open to the public, and membership is encouraged. Don’t forget to bring seeds and plants to swap afterward. If you can’t make it in person we will also be streaming the event via YouTube and Zoom.
