Talks and Walks in the Garden (TWiG): Show Your Garden Some Love!

Come celebrate National Garden Week at the garden we all love, Zilker Botanical Garden. Bring a picture of you at Zilker and one from your own garden. Tell us what the Garden and gardening mean to you. We will gather in the Greene Room at 11 a.m., share your pictures and stories, then in the true spirit of TWiG, (Talks and Walks in the Garden), we will walk to your favorite spots in Zilker Botanical Garden. AAGC will share information about their 26 member clubs – how you can join and what volunteer opportunities await!

About the Presenter

Karen Kalergis fell in love with Zilker Botanical Garden on her first visit to Austin in 1984. She now serves as the President of the Austin Area Garden Center (AAGC) and is a member of two of AAGC’s clubs – the Austin Herb Society and the Heart of Texas Orchid Society. Karen knows she is her most resilient when she is in the garden – hers or Zilker – and makes it a point to “get back to the garden” as often as possible.
