Dino Days
Each February the Garden celebrates the Cretaceous period with partners like the Austin Nature and Science Center & the Paleontological Society of Austin to provide engaging learning opportunities during Dino Days. Activities include fossil finds, a lesson in spore-bearing plants and plant evolution, and more!
The Woodland Faerie Trail
A cherished community event, the Woodland Faerie Trail engages the imagination of adults and children alike. Each Summer the Garden hosts faerie homes made by the community as well as workshops and faerie-lore activities.
Wellness Programs
The Conservancy partners with local wellness instructors to offer a variety of opportunities for adults and children alike. Wellness opportunities rotate each season.
Bands in Bloom
Families gather to enjoy music in the shade of the Mabel Davis Rose Garden, featuring emerging Austin musicians and a relaxing summer night. This program occurs after hours and is free to the public. Learn more here.
Dog Days
While the Garden is dog-friendly every day, in late summer we celebrate our furry friends! Dog Days features pup pools, local dog-centric vendors, and even pups up for adoption. This event is included with admission and is free for members and pups.
Roots & Wings
The Roots & Wings Festival originated at the Zilker Botanical Garden, and the Garden remains a key host site for the festival. In October, the annual celebration will include activity tables about pollinators and trees as well as butterfly releases, monarch tagging, and more. Attendance is included with admission and is free for members.
Yule in the Garden
In December, the Conservancy hosts its annual Yule Celebration, with nature-based activities and family crafts. A string quartet will play festive music and local vendors will provide holiday treats. Yule in the Garden is included with admission and is free for members.
